Berks Personnel Network (BPN), a subsidiary of Threshold, is a comprehensive employment
and training agency. BPN offers a wide array of innovative services and supports
designed to enable persons with mental, physical, and economic challenges to secure
and maintain competitive employment.
Specific services provided by BPN include:
- Career exploration
- Job search education
- Job search support
- On-the-job training
- Serrvice coordination
- Follow-up job support
- Job retention supports
Services are available to people residing in Berks and contiguous counties.
BPN contracts
with the following agencies:
- The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR)
- Service Access and Management, Inc. (SAM, Inc.)
- United Way
- Reading Muhlenberg Career Technology Center
Services are provided in coordination with these agencies and in line with employment
initiatives across the state.
Berks Personnel Network is also an authorized Employment Network for the Ticket
to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program operated by the
Social Security Administration. All recipients of Social Security benefits have
a Ticket. Under this program, beneficiaries may use their Tickets to access employment
services through BPN.
BPN has experience in providing employment services to Students in Transition. BPN
collaborates with local school districts, and students and their families to ensure
a smooth transition from school into the work force in the community. BPN is an
active, long-term member of the Berks County Transition Coordinating Council.
BPN is affiliated with the Pennsylvania CareerLink~Berks County.
