In 1996, as a result of our dialogue with consumers and other stake holders, Threshold embarked upon a Journey of Self-Examination, which ultimately led to the creation of a new vision. The new vision embodied a major shift in organizational philosophy and we began moving away from providing program driven services, to providing individualized, person driven supports.
In conjunction with this organizational shift, Threshold affiliated with the Council on Quality and Leadership, an organization providing leadership for organizations pursuing greater accountability, responsiveness and quality performance. The Council's approaches are based upon the establishment of quality measures, performance indicators, and evaluation techniques which are person centered and identify each individual's personal outcomes.
The Council on Quality and Leadership is also a nationally recognized accreditation organization. Our mission, vision and values embody the Council's approaches and philosophies and are based upon the belief that knowledge about people is the foundation for delivering quality services.
